What's new...
Akridge Family baby Version 2 is well on the way!
I am proud to say, it was after the first attempt.
Chris is due May 10 with our 2nd child.
We have had a few doctor visits, and mommy and baby are healthy.
Still doing spurratic updates in our blog, here
On the job front, I now work in the IT Operations group.
We do the things that make the company hum... besides the network, and power.
If it is not a customer server, its an IT Ops server.
Least, that is the over all goal. We aquired some legacy systems, and some "what the heck is this?" servers and systems, but we are working to move that into "THAT is a xyz server... that is not supposed to be there... We're unplugging it..." kind of situation. Lots of work to get there, tho.
I have been working on utilizing Xen and virtualizing portions of the server sprawl we inherited. It's a challenge...
